New Member from Kenya
Hello Everyone,
I'm Jas from Kenya. Have been a member for a while but have always just been reading around. We own a family based construction company in Nairobi, and have primarily been carrying out building construction. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and specialised in Engine Development in the UK. I moved back 4 years ago from the UK (being born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya) and would like to branch out into the Civil field as the returns are better (and quicker!!).
We invested in a used Caterpillar 432D Backhoe 3 years ago and its worked really well for us in carrying out minor jobs. After chasing a lot of Civil jobs and carrying out smaller jobs with hired equipment, I'm finally negotiating a size-able job that allows me to invest in an excavator.
I'm really looking forward to learning from everyone here from the vast experience available........

CASE 440 or Bobcat S250?
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to buy a skid steer for our farm(basically I need it to do everything cleaning yards/brush, fencing ect.), and need a little help. I've been looking at a 08' CASE 440 and 08' Bobcat S250. I'm a big CASE fan, and drove a CASE 420 for a lot of years at work, and my dad likes Bobcat (use to hand/foot controls) and the local Bobcat dealer is really good. Here are the two skid steers:
Bobcat S250:
2008
ACS controls (I have never used them before, wondering how well they work and are the hand controls comparable to the CASE controls)
Heat/Air
2-speed and Bobtach
2087 hrs (used for snowplowing/landscaping)

CASE 440 Series 3:

3300 hrs (used for landscaping)
Listed Price: $25,000

Hydrostatic system
Is it a must to use a hydrostatic oil in a shid steer, or can I use an AW hydraulic oil?

I was hope someone can help me with finding a manual for this. The hyd fluid is getting over into the steering system and whenbi caller caterpillar. He said that before he could give me any info I needed to get I'd. Anybody have a copy of manual or pics or anything that might help me? Thanks again
