Bucket Falls: Trojan 124

Help!

We just bought a Trojan 124 Wheel Loader with an International D282 diesel engine. It runs and drives ok, however, the master cylinder leaks all over the floor and the bucket will not stay up! The bucket slowly tips down as soon as you release the lever. The lift arms will stay put however the bucket tips forward immediately.

From what I can tell, the spool valve may be bad, however, I would like some feedback.

Does anyone have any opinions? Has anyone replaced their spool valve? Does anyone know if a valve or rebuild kit is available?

Regarding the master cylinder, I am sure I can find a kit or a replacement, but if anyone knows, I would love to hear from them.

john deere or IHI Mini

Which would you folks prefer between a john deere and an IHI 6000lb machine? Both being equal as far as shape they are in, year early 2000.

Jib Cranes

Looking into building a shop soon. Was wanting to install a small jib crane. Not sure if I will wall mount or have a freestanding. My question is, what kind of bearing should i use for the top pivot? Was thinking of a tapered "timken" type bearing. I would like to be able to lift 1/2 to maybe 3/4 ton max. I beam arm, with about six foot arm length of reach. I am not an engineer by any means, but would think I would only need a bearing on the upper support as that is where most of the thrust would be. Hope I worded this right, and isnt too confusing. It all sounds legit in my mind! Looking for any advice or from anyone who has built or is knowledgeable in this area.

Thanks in advance.

Wild Kat brush rake?

Anyone run one of these "heavy duty" model of Wild Kat brush rakes?

The price fits the budget, but really don't want something that will bend like a pretzel either. It will be on a 287b. Not doing anything commercially, just clean up around the farm.

Int 4200, VT365

dimanche 20 avril 2014

There is a 4200 International with a extended cab coming up at an auction near here in a few weeks. We have been keeping an eye on the look out for a new puller for our fairly large enclosed unimog hauler. The 2002 cab and chassis truck looks decent with just under 70,000 miles on it. It has a 190 HP VT365 engine in it with an Allison. No concerns about the tranny but I know nothing about the VT365. I welcome comments about the engine concerning reliably, economy pulling about 18,500 lbs gross using a 12 ft high, 30 ft enclosed gooseneck trailer, or any general thoughts about this engine.

Case 1150 D Good or Bad

I'm looking at a Case 1150D for use on the farm. With around 5000 hours and the convertor has just been replaced. The machine appears to be in overall good shape. It has a 6 way blade and 4 rippers. HP to weight? Thoughts on the speed of the machine? I would appreciate some opinions.
