I have a Volvo ECR88, so in between a compact and full excavator. It has a Geith coupler and I'm installing a Geith pin on hydraulic thumb. I am getting different opinions on whether to use doubler plates on the stick. The stick is 3/8 thick on the mount face. If I do plate I'm thinking 3/8 low cargo steel. Plate the stick end? Under cylinder mount? The whole stick? None of the above? TIA. Jim

D7E-47A pony engine parts?
I need to pull out my pony engine. I think the bendix gear has a bad tooth. it jumps around pretty badly and engages rough. is there anywhere left to get parts for these old girls? I prefer not to convert to electric if I don't have to.
Takeuchi t b 135 hyd. fill cap placement
I don't know where to fill my hyd. fluid resevor in my takeuchi tb 135. Seems like it was one of those big bolt looking caps on the right side at the top. Is that right? Do I need to let off the pressure?
Thanks

Sloppy fit
Working with my first excavator. Some of the pins/bushings in the bucket/arm linkage are (to me) a little sloppy. They wiggle around more than I like. Sometimes its useful (when shaking dirt off a stump or out of a slash pile) but mostly it's just annoying.
Do you guys replace these components often (1000 hours?, 4000 hours?)
Do you buy factory OEM components?
Do you have pins and bushings machined to your material/tolerance spec?
