Komatsu PC200LC-6 Hydraulic Oil Cooler Problem

samedi 23 août 2014

I have a 200LC-6 and the Hyd Oil Cooler is leaking everywhere out of the base and the machine is unusable, A quote on a new Cooler is several thousand dollars. I have been told this is a known problem with these machinesm I have found a few websites that sell replacement Oil Coolers, do you think they would be worth a try considering they are cheaper? It doesnt make too much sense to me to replace an expensive part that prematurely fails with the same part again. Any opinions or suggestings welcome.

Thanks,

Ben

crawler cat D7

Hello everyone,

I would like to buy a crawler cat D7 17A 61422. Do you know the year of construction?

I think that it could be built during the 2nd world war. I am a collector of militiary items.

Many thanks in advance

Carlo from Vicchio of Mugello Florence - Italy.

Case 580D Brake Problem

Hello to All.

I have a Case 580D Backhoe. I bought it from a distant relative who didn't have the money to keep it properly maintained. I am assuming he only did what he absolutely had to do to keep it running. He did not use the machine in a business, but did a few jobs on the side with it.

I probably ran the machine for 15 to 20 hours, mostly stationary while digging, but did some dirt moving around my place as well. Recently, it has a developed a problem with moving forward after braking to a full stop. It requires almost full throttle to break it loose. When it does break loose, it seems to move okay until I brake to a stop again.

I do not have a manual yet. Even if I did, I am too old to do much work on a big machine such as this.

I would appreciate any info I could get on what the problem with the brakes could be. I need to make a decision on whether to try to have it repaired at the Case dealership or just sell it for whatever I can get for it. I have $8700.00 in it, so I need to do something with it, one way or another.

Thanks.

1995 Hitachi ex270lc hydro pump control question

My excavator seams to act like its under a huge load no matter how easy you are working it. It uses about 3-5 gallons of fuel per hour just doing light work like gathering brush. If you pick the boom up it labors the engine even with the bucket empty. I talked to a few guys who suggested to check the Solenoid that control the pump control. And to check the computer for it.

The "computer" was by passed when I bought this machine so I need to fix it. Or does anyone know of any way that I can "trick" the computer or solenoid to not make it load the pump so much?

I want to fix the machine correctly but if its a lot of money it's not in my budget right now. For now I just need to try to get it to not use so much fuel.

Any body have any insight on how the pump set up works on my machine?

Thanks

Ford 555A steering cylinders

I've got an old Ford 555A backhoe with leaking steering cylinders and no parts book. Would anyone happen to have one and could tell me what seals etc I need to rebuild them? I'd like to get the parts from the "local" (55 miles away) NAPA rather than have to drive another two hours to the NH dealer.

Thanks in advance
