New holland 170 shuts down after starting when the key returns to run position.

vendredi 28 août 2015

Hi got a strange issue;

My New holland 170 starts fine as normal but as soon as I let the key go from the start position to run the engine quits and the starter continues to run. If I hold the key in the start position the engine will stay running but so does the starter. This happens every time without fail. When I put on the seat belt the light does go out but the pedals are still locked out, even if i keep it running by holding it on the start position. I am sure before this problem arose i could start the engine and move it directionaly but the pedals are locked out until the seat belt is on, now the engine will not turn over until my seat belt is on. Any ideas? I have tired replacing the ingnition switch and the same problem is still ongoing, looked under the seat at the connections everything is intact. Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

Cat 416 series II w/ Case controls want to change back to Cat

Ok here's the deal I bought a 92 Mdl. 416 series II a while back at a very reasonable price. I am used to Cat controls, even the Case 680 we used to have where I used to work had Cat controls, but for some reason someone either ordered my 416 with Case controls or it was converted. Everything seems to be @ss backwards to me as far as the backhoe controls are concerned, I simply want to convert it to Cat controls asap, is there anyone who has done this and is there a place I can get the controls I need without going broke to do it. I can do it myself if I just had the parts, as I do my own work on all the other equipment I own. In the meanwhile I need to dig a few test holes, but the boom swing foot pedals seem to be sticking and is very frustrating when your trying to be precise. What do I have to do to alleviate this problem. i would really appreciate any help anyone can throw my way. By the way it's an extend a hoe. Thanks.

349E Regen

I have put 6000 hours on my machine and had nothing but trouble with the regen. Yesterday I had to start it by pushing the button at 80% and wait 40mins till it got down to zero. Then it got up again but wouldnt let me start it myself. By the time I got it walked to the road were cat could look at it it was at 117% and when they got there it wouldnt start last night. I went out this morning and it started but said regen lockout, They are comming back today to look at it. Was just wondering what you guys thought? Nothing is worse than looking at the off road trucks sitting there looking at me and I cant load them because of somthing like that.

Cat D8R internal trans case line cracked

I have a D8R 7XM serial number with a cracked tube for torque converter inlet supply oil. I was wondering if anyone has an idea how to repair or replace the internal tubes. It can't be welded where it is. The Crack is against the case side.

Hey guys, new member. Kubota L35 Backhoe issues, cant tell what year.

jeudi 27 août 2015

I've been working with a Kubota L35 for almost a year now and have been having some issues. I work for a cemetery and have a 3 foot bucket on it just for initial reference. I do not know what the year is, though i have heard its from the 80's. We have used a tractor company twice to haul it off for a transmission job that cost about 12k and recently had the whole backhoe attachment worked on because it was leaking golden fluid all over the place. I was taught how to operate this thing, but wasn't taught much else. And I fail to believe there is no way to tell the year of the backhoe I use, despite the repair company telling us otherwise. Am I wrong in this? And does anyone have any comments on why my backhoe jerks around like Michael J Fox is operating it?

We had to rent a brand new L45 Kubota while ours was being repaired, for a couple of graves to be dug, the scoop was about 2 feet instead of 3, but it was as smooth as butter in the controls and we had no issue with it jerking around with the possibility of brain damage. It does this with the throttle set at about 1/4 speed too with our old one, with the new one i could crank it up to 75 percent throttle and maneuver it like a boss. It's so frustrating!
