extec e7 screener

mardi 17 janvier 2017

Hi there,I am hoping someone can help me with a fault in an extec e7 screener year2005, fitted with a deutz engine. When we start the screener, it runs no problem but shows the battery light on control panel and after a few minutes, the engine shuts down still showing battery light on control panel. The altenator has been tested and battery is also good, with test meter showing 14volts approx when running. We have checked all earths and other sensors on engine with everything looking ok.We have found that by switching ignition on and off a few times when engine is running, the light goes out, letting the engine run a good bit longer but still cuts out.Hope somebody can help in solving this problem or where to check for faults, many thanks.

New to the industry - need advice on mini excavator size for my goals

I've been doing mostly home repair work for the past several years, lately we've been doing new builds including the foundation. There is a lot of work for that in my area and I've been thinking of branching out on my own doing site prep and foundation work. Mostly here the foundations are perimeter concrete footers, so a mini excavator would do the job fine, also it would work great for trenching for utilities. But certainly occasionally there would be grading work and I don't want to limit myself to not be able to take that work.

I saw a video were a guy was grading with an excavator with a wide bucket (grading) attachment. If I were to do grading with a mini what would be the minimum size mini I would need for this?

My budget is limited, I feel I could put together about $20k for the excavator. I know those are limited funds, but I've seen mini's in the 6k lbs range for that price, can I get away with going that small?

Thanks.

Mecalac MCR

Check out these machines. They are a true 4 in 1 machine, skid Steer, excavator, dozer and telehandler. The versatility saves on lowbed moves and makes for more efficient time used on site. We have started selling them in the Northeast with a great deal of positive feedback. Click on the link and tell me what you think.

Genie 45/22 Rotation

Hello everyone,
I am starting a new post here in Forklifts/Telehandlers. I have been trying to work out a rotation issue on my 1994 Genie Z45/22 Boom lift. Everything works great all but the rotation. The same thing happens weather you are in the basket or using the ground controls. The same thing happens weather you have the boom "stowed" or "boomed up". Starting from the 359 degree rotation stop you can only go so far around and the function goes dead. Sometimes it allows you to go (180) sometimes almost (180) sometimes a little over (180) degrees. If I am using the "ground" controls and it goes dead the only way to recover and go back the other way is to climb in the basket (apply full throttle) and boom up. Once boomed up you have to play with the extend and retract function on the primary boom. This usually dies along with the rotation. At first the extend and retract is usually really slow but after a few times in and out the speed picks up and at that point you can try to rotate back. At first the same thing happens with the rotation( very jerky). A few more in and outs with the Extend and Retract Function then you can try the Rotation Function again. After repeating this procedure 2 or 3 times you can fully recover and the rotation works like a charm.(only going back to the stop)
Any and all Help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. I live in Rural Upstate NY and can not find anyone to help me.
I do have the Service Manual which includes diagrams. I have a good multi-meter and know how to do basic testing.
Thank you

Tire prtessure

I've misplaced my operators manual. Nothing printed on the tire. My Case 580K blew a tire off the bead Maneuvering something too heavy. I recall them as 1200-16.5 12? ply

I did a search, I found information more generic, nothing as specific as operators manual recommendations. I think 80 LBS, but that may be too much.

Does anybody have an operators manual handy?

Willie

580 B No Low Range on Trans

Hey guys , my old 580 B only works with High Range , it shifts into the low range slot fine but the machine will not move forward or revers , there is no grinding noise or any other sound - sorta like there is no gear there .
Have not pulled the cover to inspect yet , wanted to get some input from you guys .
Wondering if the linkage is messed up or selector is in the wrong position .
Thanks for any input ,
