Hunting Land Dozer

mercredi 22 mars 2017

Hi everyone,

I’m new here and new to dozers in general. I’m looking at purchasing a dozer for work to be done on my hunting land, mainly putting in trails, clearing brush/trees, and pond type work. I know relatively little about dozers and need some guidance. I have come across two machines I like so far. One is a Deere 550c and one is a Cat d4c xl and they both seem comparable. Other than the amount of hours, whether or not any major rehaul work has been done, and the condition of the...

Preferred Hub Seal Type?

We are new to the flat bed trailer world & are getting this trailer ready for the road that we recently purchased at the Ritchie Auction & are replacing some brakes & the hub seals as part of the safety. We are learning a bit more about this process & have been made aware of different types of hub seals, Stemco Voyageur & a 2 part metal Stemco seal assembly, (perhaps there are more too?) of which the metal style is the one shown in the picture that we are using this time around. We were...

JCB 214 Series 2 Bent dipper ram

I have a 1995 JCB that the dipper ram started leaking. Took it to a machine shop and the dipper ram is bent. When I took it off the pin that holds the cylinder was broke in half. I for the life of me cannot figure out how this happened. Maybe it was broke when I bought it?

Does anyone know of a good source for a good used one? New they are very, very, proud of them! Serial number on hoe is 433511. Thanks, Terry

Case 1850K Series II idlers

I guess they are impossible to find. I have a dozer that needs both right and left idler assemblies. Case has them on indefinite backorder, and every aftermarket company I have checked with cant do anything either. Anyone know of this issue with these machines? I haven't figured out why no one manufactures these.

Dozer #1- CAT D6T S# WFH00364
The operator says the machine engine will slow just like pushing the decelerator, with caution lite. I couldn't get the machine to do this in the equipment yard of course, so I scrolled through the lower monitor menu and come up with what may be fault codes (EO281.2 & EO0198.2) Since I haven't been able to get the machine to replicate the problem here, it doesn't leave me much to check. Are these fault codes?

Case 580L Series 2 transmission control circuit puzzle

Hello.

My first post here. I've had my CASE 580L Series2 for 3 years and put 300 hours on it, but intermittently the shuttle won't engage the transmission, especially on first startup after sitting for a while. I think it's an electrical fault or short.

After bouncing the hoe or idling several minutes it usually kicks in and the transmission controls work fine the rest of the day.

During the problem condition, besides the shuttle not engaging, the rear work lights don't work; but...
