Any advice on replacing the seal that is leaking into the cab of my new (haha) 175B.
I see a repair manual on Ebay for $278 but was hoping someone could walk me through it instead. Thanks.
Just picked up a bobcat 331g. 04 with 2000 hrs. Is there anything in particular to look for with this machine? It's pretty darn clean compared to all others I have been looking at. 1 damp hose, strong, all pins tight, good tracks. Only issues I can find are one minor hose weep, 2 speed switch doesn't work, and blower doesn't switch to heat. A.c. works but won't switch to heat. Any insight?
Well after reading some old threads and absorbing some great info there within, I decided to change out the belt and rad hoses. Ordered them though the local Case dealer, and then started to installing them. The belt was rough to say the least....might even be the original! Got the rad out and hoses off and noticed that the T-stat was broken. So ordered another 180* cummins T-stat....not a fan of the aftermarket T-stat's in cummins engines....the temps tend to start swinging once they...
Here is an old grade steam shovel missing the boiler, it's around the Holberg area North Van Isle. (note the quad track) I meet a guy in camp and he gave me/us some cool pics to post. Oh ya still around no time lately for HEF
I was thinking the other day we need a thread for people to show off some highway legal log trucks. Don't get me wrong, I love the off-road hauler threads. Those old beasts are just awesome.
Anyway, fourm member Jdigger4130 sent me these to post. Some nice looking trucks. I need to dig deep and see if I can find the few I have.
Hayes is known for an impressive list of "firsts" in logging truck design. To mention a few: dual axles, sself loading trailers, diesel engines, etc. I will start with a few Hayes HD model and then HDX. Post your vids and pictures of Hayes trucks.

Always wondered how I get from the classroom or the catalog to work on an existing pipe while using trench shoring. Now I get to know: have to go 7' down at the street shoulder to install a sewer lateral. The existing pipe (as observed in the manhole at the next intersection) is 8" clay. Locator says it is 6 to 8 feet down; manhole tape measuring and logical eyeballing indicates just shy of 7'. Soil is a sandy loam but low on the clay; yes, a hand dug hole will stand 5' deep.
