Titan weld on thumb install.

mardi 20 février 2018

This is my Titan 36" weld on thumb install:

This did not come with instructions and I'm not saying this is the right way to install one but its how I did it and it seems to work okay.

First off my welding is limited by lack of skill and equipment. My welder at home is a Lincoln SP100 mig. I was doing this outside with a light breeze which isn't the best conditions. I turned the heat all the way up, set my wire feed at 4, and cranked the shielding gas up to 28 CFM. Each weld required 3...

CAT 287B Park Brake/Arm Rest Light/Interlock Issue

Have a problem with my 287B (ZSA01752) that the Park Brake light and Arm Rest light (on the top left cluster) don’t illuminate.

This is what I’ve observed:
When I turn the ignition on (not to start position) all the LEDs from the information cluster flash and stay on for a moment (I guess I would describe this as a ‘start up check’). Then all the LED warning/information cluster LEDs go out (even the Park Brake light despite it should stay on initially).
The machine starts up fine.
However,...

Question for those more exposed to these than I

Of the varied models I am looking to buy a decent HOPEFULLY tracked machine for our farm. Would be in a age range of ten-fifteen years, hours are not a deal breaker but I would expect to be using this for Fence work, land maintenance(grade and cleanup), other duties that come up with as pop up with associated attachments. Of the machines out there which is most versatile for least expense and will not drive me insane electronically?

The suck bucket

Well, I've posted this handy little shop tool in a couple of places on the forum, makes it kinda obscure to find it hidden in a thread somewhere though. So I thought I would start a thread about it so it's easy to locate for someone who would find it useful for them. Problem I had was trying to figure out what section on the forum to post it. Didn't see an appropriate alternative to post it other than in Showtime. :tong

The right to repair NE Farmers taking on JD and Apple

Pump Drive Oil Type?

I am going through the drive system on my 1970s Hydra Mac 8c and read in the manual that the pump drive (accepts drive side of coupled shaft from engine) should have "one pint of no. 10 non-detergent oil". I haven't been able to locate this type of oil, but I spoke with Hackert Sales who specialize in older Hydra Mac machines and they told me everything in the machine gets Dexron 3 except the motor. Can anyone else verify this?

HI, I have recently picked up a Case 1835C with Continental TMD-20 Diesel Engine
Engine seens to run good, with no problems.
My question is does any body have this same engine that is still running and have good luck with it. From what I have read on the internet that no body seems to likes this engine. I wonder why.
