Hi guys....

have read over this forum and others for ideas, but want to get more input. recently acquired this backhoe and in general it ran/runs pretty well. however, it leaked everywhere. replaced about 6 hydraulic hoses and replaced the fluid and now that seems under control

however, over the years, it looks like someone did some home brew work on engine and fuel system. It leaks fuel pretty heavily. after degreasing and cleaning engine as best as possible. I have the general area...

KX41-2 Boom Hydraulics - no power

Hello All -

I managed to run my KX41 dry yesterday.....[IMG]. It cut out and then wouldnt restart after being refilled....

I cleaned out the fuel filter (I'll fit a new one imminently) and after much effort got the system primed and the engine restarted. everything is working great (it feels more powerful) with the exception of the main boom. It now will lift incredibly slowly with no...

Long story short I no longer work with the family business.

Working as a mechanic now. Apparently they weren't joking when they asked if I was afraid of heights, and if I wanted to work on tower cranes. Told them I've never touched a tower crane but I was a quick learner. So here we are now.

Couple little self erectors. Yes it was cold.

The third picture was a large crane boom way off in the distance.

Terex TS24D?

I find service and parts literature on Ebay. Says they had Detroit 60 series. I didn't know a Detroit 60 had enough ponies for the tractor end.
Were these ever built? What kind of numbers? Did they use the old air shift technology, or did they upgrade to the electronic/CAN bus like the TS14G's?
(I can't say the CAN bus/wiring on the G's was an upgrade. Blessed with a Bell 4206 of the same vintage with the same problematic/reliability wiring issues as the TS14G)

Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Stands for SALE, $1,000ea OBO

I have 5 "Bacharach" brand revolving diesel engine stands for sale. Comparable to the OTC Revolver, these will hold a CAT C15 or equivalent size and weight engine. They are awesome. They are loaded in the back of my truck right now, so I still need to get some good photos of them. And I may be replacing the hydraulic bottle jack on a couple of them. I'm asking 1,000ea OBO. I'm not really interested in freight shipping, (UNLESS YOU COORDINATE IT) Call me if you want to find out more, Brodie...

99 Peterbilt 379 worth (Insurance)

My brother in law (Bo) has 99 Pete, 6x4, heavy springs, C15 motor with sleeper and chrome every where. Has taken great care of the truck and had just had the motor rebuilt. Two weeks later some guy comes around the corner and hits him head on. Everybody is OK and the other driver even admitted to the cops that it was his fault.

The truck has a busted front axle, steering box, bent hood and others. Estimate to fix the truck is 38K and the insurance wants to total it saying its only worth...
