01 international dt466e,,, bought cab an chasis,, bought service body with 6000 pound auto crane, mounted body to chasis, been using the cruise control in cab of truck to keep rpms up in order to run pto for crane, that's what ive been doing for a while, works fine other than keeps truck running at high idle at all times, eventualy after hr or so the hyd. oil with get hot an then the crane gets to were it don't wanta boom down or telescope back in, (due to oil gets hot an thin),, after it cools off some itll go back to work. the old service truck that the body came off of was a ford f 350 an the crane has a multifunction controller,, crank,shut off truck, plus has a finger trigger to speed up truck, I basicly ran a hot an ground to crane an been running it ever since. any one know how to tie the crane controls into the truck, atleast to speed up the truck to a set rpm when pressing the trigger switch, love for the shut off an start to work too but id settle for the motor to speed up atleast ?
