DT466 Cam Replacement, ball park price?

My DT466 in my 2007 4300 broke a lifter, which supposedly scarred the cam. The estimate came back high, at least according to others that I have asked about, but of course I gave them the go ahead as it's torn down at this particular shop.

They finally call me today saying it's ready, but only one little issue. The "cam kit" that their parts supplier quoted them didn't include the cam itself, so the price is $1200 higher than quoted. Brilliant, huh?
