Looking to get a snow pusher and have somequestion on what type to get.

I have been playing with the idea of getting a snow pusher to up my snow removal production. Right now I just use snow buckets on my backhoes and have never used a pusher before. We do a lot of residential driveways with some smaller commercial yards. Like gas stations and small stores.



I would like to know if I am better off with a steel or rubber cutting edges? Pros and cons? I'm not worried about scraping pavement as long as is does not gouge.



Also would you recomend a 10 or 12" wide? It will be going on a 310SJ backhoe worth 4x4 and will be traveling the roads with it on.

Hi guys, I'm slowly working out all the levers of my dozer and my hands are going to the correct ones when I'm fresh but I frequently stuff up when I've been going for a while. Just so different to the excavator.

My question is on the use of the main clutch lever in my left hand. All the way forward it is disengaged and all the way back it clicks in to the lock position fully engaged. When operating the dozer should I always endeavour to get it fully locked in the engaged position or is it OK to slow things down by having it partially engaged and slipping of the clutch or will this cause it to wear prematurely or is it designed to tolerate that sort of use. With pushing up the trees I have pushed over I feel a bit vulnerable with it locked in if a branch were to come through the front at me I just can't release it without having to push it forward whereas if it was not locked in I would just have to let go of it and things would stop.

Also when I park her up for the night does it matter in which position I leave it?

This probably seems like a basic question but I know you guys will have the right answer for me.

Political ads on HEF seriously

How come from time to time today and the last few days, are there political ads on the top of HEF both before and after I log in? did I miss an inner office memo that now we can bash politicians? Seriously guys it can't be just me on my computer can it?? It shows up just like the ads do in the yellow area for construction advertising. Did some spam slip through the system and make it up on the system? Just curious as to what's up, never seen it before and hopefully never see it again, we all get enough everywhere else its not needed here too.
