New to me JCB 208s (1CX), multiple issues

Hello everyone. This is my first thread and the 208s is my first skid-steer or backhoe. I have a compact farm tractor, but I needed something to help me with all the dirt work I have at my land and thought this would be a great machine to do that.

I purchased a 1998 JCB 208s. Its got the Perkins 100 series engine in it (thanks Dave). If there is anything else you want to know about it, let me know.

When I bought it, I knew I was going to have some issues. I only paid $5500 USD for it...

Komatsu pc 400 LC-8 stick cyl drift

hi we have a komatsu pc 400 lc-8 with very bad stick/arm cyl drift also seems to have low power in the stick function as well, I have checked the main pressure at the pump and it is 5500 psi , anything easy to check swap something with other side of circuit ? I have no manuals for komatsu equipment . Any help would be great thanks .

At one time they had 3 drills going on this job. This big one plus two excavator-based ones. Literally half the road slipped away due to the tremendous rain this winter, right up to the center line in some places.

D5c leaking final drive seal

D5C 3MK LGP clutch steer.

I found one final drive had started leaking suddenly at the end of today.

Closer inspection found a piece of wire hooked in around the sprocket with the end in the duo cone. Not a major wrap up, just a fairly short piece. I pulled it out with a pair of pliers, and I think it came out without any breaking off.

So, if I top up the oil tomorrow, what is the probability that the seal will be okay?

If the seal still leaks, how much trouble is it to change? Do you...
