i got a case 1840, it has no parking brake when i bought it. i just got all the parts to install it, but the parts diagram doesnt show how to properly install. Would like a video or pictures of one already installed. thanks

Santa Margarita, Best of the West Show

This weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Best of the West Show will take place at the Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, California. There will be steam trains, war birds flying and giving rides, old military vehicles, 3 tanks so far, dozens of old Cat, Holts, Best, and all the rest. Ino the dirt play area the following is already here. 2 ea DW-21, 2 ea DW-20, 14 and 15A push Cats, D9 push Cat, 660 scraper, DW-10 scraper, at least 10 or more Cat and scraper pans of every size and make. Prairie tractors, cars, trucks, antique equipment of every type fill in the rest. Mary Ann the stretch D8 from Antarticia and her sibling a 941 just showed up. The Cat sixty elevating grader that we got out of ND is up and running and working behind a RD7. There's a friendly bunch here and most if not all will let you turn a round or two and will help with instructions and ride along for the inexperienced. I will have my badge on. Madill 3200 buncher opinions

So I'm looking at purchasing a 97 madill 3200a with around 30k hours on it. It's Cummins powered and besides the undercarriage and a few minor leaks seems to be in good shape for its age. I'm just wondering if there are any key points for this specific machine or bunchers in general?. The koering saw has a very little amount of play and the motor is apparently new. Really any inside or advice would be appreciated!.

D6C Tilt Cylinder Rod Repair for Straight/Tilt Blade

On our D6C which has the 10' Straight Tilt Blade, Ser # 95E7151, we broke the rod end off of it today, on the end of the hyd cylinder. Looks like it had been partially fractured for a while. I looked in our parts book & come up with a part for the end of the rod called a "Ball Stud", pt# 3F6492 which appears to be a replaceable end part. Does it just thread into the end of the rod assembly? Our local Cat dealer located one 3 days away, so the part is still available. Is changing the end portion only the way to go?

Messersi owners, (libre?)

Hi! Is here any messersi owners?
Is it fact,that messersi is the same as libre? The outfit is pretty much same in many machines too.
I just bought a messersi. I bought it as a m-35, year 2005. When it arrived from ireland, it had the type plate missing. I think it is a m-28, and closer of a year 1995 than 2005.
Is here anybody who could help me with the identification, and how similar it really is with other machines with the same outfit.

Cat 312B no high speed travel

I have a 312B that won't go int RABBIT travel speed.
Checking things in SERVICE MODE it -will- travel fast when I set 16-13 (travel pressure switch). There are no error codes.
However, the STATUS OF TRAVEL SPEED SWITCH (10) always shows - "1" LOW - even when the CONSOLE shows RABBIT. (engine running or not)
The travel has been working and switching back/forth, but just quit.
