Hey guys, I don't post on here very often but but I figured that this would be the best place to ask. So how is the excavation industry in upstate New York? Specifically in the Adirondacks? My girlfriend and I are considering the idea of moving to that area, possibly next year. Her family owns some property in the northern ADK and we absolutely love the area. However, we are concerned that it would be difficult to find work. Is there any big work or bigger companies in the region? Is the local industry flooded? Is there work or is the economy still down up there in the woods? How are the wages?
At this point we are just putting out some feelers to see what it's all about. We a both a little tired of Connecticut and want to at least look at other areas to live. I'm certainly not looking to start a company or anything but am a competent mechanic/operator and will soon have a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management.
Thanks Guys!
