1988 PC-120-3 serial # 23975

I hope someone can help me.



I own an older Komatsu PC-120-3 which we don’t use very often. The machine has 2935 org miles on it.



Here is my problem: I parked the machine a little over a year ago and it ran fine when I parked it.



I’m getting ready to use it now and after about 10-15 minutes running time the hydraulic pump started to make a winning noise ( I think it’s the pump making the noise) and the hydraulics also wouldn’t work all that well.



The machine has no computers, it’s all manual levers and values.



The problem seems to have started after about 10-15 of running time, maybe when the fluid heated up?



Do you think I have:

1.Bad fluid (it’s tough for me to tell if there is water in it or not)

2.Clogged screen?

3.A bad or stuck valve?



I have the owner’s manual but don’t know where to start.



I also don’t think I have the know-how or the equipment to check pump pressure.
