Case 580B wont go into forward or reverse

I have a Case 580B. When I push in on the clutch and try to shift into forward or reverse it grinds like the pressure plate is not disengaging and I don't want to force it into gear. Everything worked when I put it away last year. I have a service manual on order, but just wanting to know if there is anything I can check while waiting?
