Komatsu excavator hydraulic issues

mercredi 14 mai 2014

hi all

I have a komatsu pc270-7. it has some hydraulic issues that I need to sort out. the 2 hydraulic pumps seem to have been fiddled with by a number of bush mechanics, the functions that operate off one pump are very week and slow, the functions that operate off the other pump stall the machine when used. and iv been tasked with rectifying the problem. first of all the throttle control motor is missing so a piece of rope is used to tie up the throttle. all the electrical wires seem to be disconnected around the hydraulic pump and engine side.

My question is will the hydraulic pumps still work fine without any electrical assistance from the computer ? that being the pc-epc valve and ls-epc valve mounted on the pumps, or does the computer have to command the pumps with regards to load sensing and moving the swash plates in the pumps. I know on a Hyundai excavator I worked on the electrical system could be missing and the machine worked as normal.

I have the workshop manual and it mentions briefly about an emergency pump switch that goes through a resistor to the pc-epc,ls-epc valves, but again I think the wires have been messed with and could be missing. I like in Africa and spare are almost impossible where we are.

many thanks.
