I have a project on an urban street, where we can only work on half of the road at a time. This leaves a 20' section to undercut two feet, and a ten foot shoulder, (which I intend to use for trucks to haul off excess material), approximately a mile long.
There's not enough room for a scraper, and we have to haul off topsoil, and excess material, so I am thinking of hauling off a couple hundred foot, then using excavator to flip material back to a dozer, who will push material back to undercut in lifts, for disk and padfoot packer.
This way, excavator can load out trucks, and keep dozer busy filling undercut at the same time. Once undercut is full, we simply move up a couple hundred feet, and work our way back to the undercut area again.
