Busted pontoon boat motor

The wife's been botherin me to take her catfishin'..

Far be it from me to turn down an excuse to drink beer at 5AM, so off we went..

We had to put in at a different landing than normal seeing the CoOp shut down my regular spot..

We made it out of the landing OK and down to the "secret fishin' hole"..

The fish were SUPER SIZED that day.. Broke 2 rods and another one flipped out of the boat..[my fault]

We decided to head back in around 2PM w/ no fish in the boat..

Trying to navigate in uncharted waters back to the landing, I hit a stump!!!

The motor just reved and we were stuck about 200 yards from the landing..

I ended up SWIMMING an 18ft pontoon back, in gator infested waters..

One fella at the landing said, "your one tough SOB".. I said, "thanks for your help"..lol



Well, I got home and took the foot off.. if you shake it, it sounds like the inside of a gumball machine.. lol

Got it apart and sure enough, It aint gonna be cheap.. I "V-blocked" the shafts and the prop shaft has a .010" dip.. [250.00]

not to mention the 330.00 gear set, the 54.00 h20 kit and the 26.00 gasket kit.. :Banghead
