We are going to purchase a new track loader. Currently Cat and Case have brought us machines to try: 289D and TV380 respectively. Only checkmark in the plus column for the Case is 90 HP vs. 74 HP for the Cat. Both machines are brand new. My question for everyone is should I even keep looking? Is there anything a Deere, New Holland, Bobcat, or Kubota have over the Cat? Quite honestly I'm very disappointed in the Case. Hydraulics slow, aux control difficult to manage, terribly noisy, poor visibility due to door design just to name a few. This will be our first track loader so want to get the right one.
Is Caterpillar really the best track loader?
