Hi, I don't have experience in forestry operations but I am looking to get an excavator with a mulcher attachment to do some land clearing and site prep on the ranch. I was also looking at harvesters and the possibility of harvesting some of the wood, as well as doing some large tree pruning and removal in sensitive locations for my neighbors. Anybody know if you can use a harvester to prune branches off of a large tree? Out here in Hawaii we have a serious problem with albizia, which is highly invasive and can grow 100 feet in 5 years. I'd be interested in being able to remove 12" diameter branches at 20-40 foot height. Any input would be much appreciated, thank you!
