Pedastal Pilot Controls to Seat Based Pilot Controls Migration

Has anyone ever done this on an older John Deere machine. I was wondering if it is worth the bother and if there are any dollar or time saving alternatives to custom fabrication. Part of the cab is rotted and needs to be replaced by those controls anyways. That is why I am looking into it.
