We are going to break ground this spring for the construction a new shop 60 X 120 red iron
The Sub foundation will need to built up 3 feet on one end....at this time it appears we will use lime stone as the fill material
We are located in NE Indiana the site location has about 6 " of top soil and below that is good old Indiana clay
Question 1 .....What would be the best compaction machine??? currently I am looking at a RAMMAX P33 walk behind Compactor
Question 2 .....Do we need to use a ground pounder to pack the clay after the top soil is removed and before we start the build up with the crushed lime stone.
All other comments and advise welcomed.
