help entry level mechanic

I just got a job as a field mechanic to run pm and inspection on there equipment .. but the mechanic thst training really doesnt want to sjow me anything because he feels like i taking work from him so can any body explain how to run a pm and inspection 9n there equipment. Euclid, Komatsu, 900,980,500,500.. extervator i apprea iate any help
