I'm in the process of overhauling the engine (4D105-3) in my Komatsu D31P-16 dozer. Pulled off the flywheel housing rear cover and saw (as I expected) a pilot shaft roller bearing in the flywheel and what I'll call the output shaft ball bearing in the flywheel cover but I can't find any way these two bearings are lubricated ( flywheel housing is sealed from the gear cavity and pan). Nothing in the service manual or shop manual. The rear cover does have a plug in the upper half and a smaller plug a couple of inches up from the bottom, indicative of a fill plug and a correct level sight plug but again nothing in the manual. I know something has to lube these two bearings but what and how.
