Guys - looking at getting a trencher for installing waterlines. Need to put in probably 2" line at the largest most cases and depth of at minimum 6' deep. I found a Ditch Witch 6510 for sale with a 6 way blade up front and trencher bar that will go 6-1/2' deep. Looks well taken care of and we know the people selling it and they keep their stuff up pretty well. Also found an R65D with a supposedly 10' bar and a backhoe with 6 way blade up front, also has a cab enclosure. We know nothing about this one just saw it coming up on an auction about 4 hours from me. Does anyone know much about the two machines? Is one better than the other? Is the backhoe a deal breaker? We already have an older Case backhoe but if the backhoe's on a Ditch Witch are decent enough we wouldn't have to haul 2 machines all the time. The 6510 has a Deutz diesel and the R65D has a Ford diesel. Thoughts and opinions please. Thanks guys.
