We made the 200 mile trip yesterday to check out the the 941 Loader, Ser 80H299X (cannot read the last digit), tried it out for 15 minutes in a pile & then decided to purchased the unit. Everything looked good on the gauges when I ran it. We adjusted the brakes a bit before running it as the previous owner was not sure on the adjustment & the pedals went down a bit far. It did not have any leaks & the engine sounds good too. Sheet metal looks to be in great condition, with no major dents anywhere & none of the covers were missing.
The only Ser # tag I could see was on the RH loader tower when sitting in the seat & as mentioned the last digit I cannot read.
Can any provide me with the build date?
Is there another location for a Ser # plate on the 941 that anyone is aware of, where I may be able to read the whole #? I looked on the back of the machine & do not see anything there.
Ironically, my cousin's & her husband (the bald man in the picture) live on the same road just 1.5 miles away from the seller (3 hrs North of us & he knew nothing about this machine being offered for sale) & he has a little job for me to do before moving the loader home! We plan to just cat it up the road to his place.
