JD 772A '82 - how do you bleed air from the lines for the hydraulics?

samedi 19 décembre 2015

The wheels turn, but no other part of the hydraulic system is working. This happened once before a few years ago, shortly after we bought it. On that occasion a mechanic came from out of state and filled the back half of the main hydraulic pump, as shown in the photo, and then bled air from the lines using a valve we can't find. We have been unable to get hold of the same mechanic and have found no other who knows about these systems.

In the manual, it shows these valves. None of them seems to be the one needed but nothing else has been located. My husband recalls there was something in front of the cabin, but can't find anything.

Is there another valve for those lines somewhere? Is there a particular way of working it to bleed the air? The guys working on it are used to valves you pump until diesel is coming out, but they aren't familiar with hydraulic systems.

I've been drafted to ask here because I speak English and they only speak Spanish. Any help appreciated.
