I've got a 2007 CAT 302.5C mini-excavator. To start, I'd really like to find a service manual for this machine. Unfortunately, the internet is sorely lacking in this category. :(
Its having an issue of loss of power at the higher RPM range. The engine runs very strong, and generally speaking, the machine is in otherwise good shape. However, from about the mid-way point on the throttle on up to WOT, it seems like it just loses power. The machine tracks slower, and there's no difference between high speed and low speed (on the stick). The boom and bucket hydraulics also appear to be weaker than normal. The top side of the hydraulic unit (under the side hood, in front of the hydraulic tank) has a sound kinda like cavitation, or kinda like there's a piece of trash in there rattling around. Its been like that since we bought it, but it never seemed to be an issue. There's also 3 hydraulic lines coming off this unit which have what I would describe as a high-frequency vibration. The hoses don't move and shake, but if you touch them, they're definitely "humming". All other hoses have absolutely no vibration. If I had a manual, I could tell you what these hoses are ;)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
