After-sales service

Hello friends!

My question is about how the after-sales service of heavy machinery manufacturers in your country.

Here where I live in Brazil, the attendance by some manufacturers, such as Caterpillar, through resellers as Sotreq and Pesa, is actually pretty good, with good availability of parts, although the price of services and parts is much higher than in the parallel market (with quality). Original parts is twice or three times more expensive than parallel parts, understanding the more rigorous standard of quality of the original parts.

But some manufacturers such as Case Construction, although they have fantastic equipment as good as Caterpillar, cited above, leaves much to be desired of the item service, at least in southeastern Brazil, through Brasif, official dealer.

In Brasif, official dealer Case, the service is bad, being a martyrdom able to talk to a salesperson and have a budget that sometimes, it may take 2 or 3 days, so even for a simple piece of budget. Also, on my last visit, on a piece for a Case 580 backhoe loader, manufactured in Brazil, reported the part price 10x above the same piece price on the parallel market. The piece on the parallel market cost on average US$ 150.00 while in Brasif the price was US$ 1,750.00 !

In addition to this problem with the Case Construction, several other manufacturers leave much to be desired in the after-sales service. A colleague of mine in the city of Cotia, for example, has brought his machine, a skid steer excavator New Holland, about 4x the official dealer Shark machines, can not solve the air conditioning problem permanently. Meanwhile, he's spending to repair a recurring problem and the transportation of the machine.

As in Brazil is common for big companies do not care about the customers, seeking only profit :( , I wonder if these bad service problems also occur in their countries.
