I have posted this scenario in the Lasers section of this forum today, but I wanted you real grader guys to see it also. I have the opportunity to buy my first grader so I can save wear on my dozers, I believe, and I have some uses for it. I have found one well used one for sale that has the Blade Pro system installed, but it doesn't have any masts or receivers with it. I realize that this is an outdated system, but if I can get it working it would be a bonus, I suppose.
I have a GL622 dual slope laser and RL50 receiver that I use on my dozers and excavator by just following the lights. It works great, but of course it is not automated grade control. I suppose I could use it on any grader that I bought by welding a pipe bracket on the blade, but the idea of having this automated Blade Pro system working intrigues me and might even help my business.
Any thoughts on if this thing is worth giving this particular grader extra consideration and if it is even possible to find the remaining components that I need?
