I have a grove crane with a cummins 504c. It is strong, but leaks a lo of oil and smokes a lot too. It was overheated at some point, I think, due to malfunctioning thermostat which I hence replaced.
At the crane auction, I bought this Detroit 4-53N.
It is supposed to be easy to rebuild. I am wondering if the cummins can bt?e easily swapped for the detroit?
Anyone tried that?
