I have an old ford 4500. I know I should replace all the hoses, but I can't afford it. I really don't use the bh much, just when I really need it. Problem is I just replaced one short loader hose and it was a mess. Hydraulic fluid all over the place. I have other hoses that are about to go. I can see where the rubber is worn off and the steel webbing is showing. Can I put some sort of band-aid type of clamp over the worn spots? If a hose blows, is there anyway to jury rig some type of coupling over it?
