550 case steering issues

I have a 1991 550 case long track that runs and operates perfect for about 30 - 40 min. and the left track will stop pulling. When brake is applied to opposite track, trying to turn, the track will engage after various amounts of time of holding the brake. It will go a short distance and stop pulling again. Any help is appreciated. Is there any adjustment. Thanks
