I was hoping to replace the 2 main pipes supplying the valve chest from the pump with genuine ones . I have replaced one before twice with 1 in pipe . The originals are 7/8 . Of coarse being Hitachi , they also have long 90 and 30 degree bends so I had to chop the original Bend and weld on an inch ferrule , no biggy . My hose shop use Gates hose and fittings and are very precise crimping . I think the Gates 4 wire hose was a bit too stiff for the vibration and movement of engine mounts and bust half way down the hose . I find gates very good but no one round here has heard of a 7/8 hose . Rang the main dealer and am waiting for price or availability patiently . The machine is going into a tidal area before the week is out . Anybody have a pair under the bed ?
