After running a service truck for the last 20 some years I have quite a number of 3 and 4 post metal housing relays that have either fallen out of their boxes or the boxes are shot, with no readable part numbers. Is there any way of testing them to determine if they are intermittent (Starter type) or continuous duty solenoids? I'm sure that some are also 24 volt, is there anyway of checking voltage short of hooking them up to see if the smoke stays in or comes out? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this happen.
