I have been called to repair a leaking cooling jacket plug in a large generator on a rooftop. The plug will never be used for anything. I'm thinking either weld the block and plug together or remove the plug and tap to a larger NPT size, but wondering what are other options.
The silicone was applied by the customer to temporarily repair it.
