D5G Track frame crack issue

Has anyone out there had any issues with their D5G track frames cracking about 2 feet behind the idler? The one I bought has one side that has cracked in the past and has been repaired and plated. Two of the burned units I have been stealing parts off of are cracked in the exact same place. I may go ahead and plate the other side before it leaves the shop.
