Gaskets...

I'm assembling an aluminum differential case with a gasket. I would really like a leak free case since getting this piece out was a bear. Deere says to use a sealant on the surfaces of the case AND the gasket. But manual doesn't specify what sealant.

What is your suggestion ?


PS ... it's a 30 year old 900 series front lawn mower filled with ATF
