580 K transaxle no 1 & 2

Have been reading my new service manual, in section 6002: troubleshooting it asks if driveshaft turns with transaxle in neutral and shuttle in forward & reverse. I checked and it does, it also asks about shuttle in neutral i checked and it does. Then goes on about checking clutch psi, cut out solenoid, and dual regulator valve. Before having this done??? I guess my question is would any of these things make the shifter feel as if it is not connected to anything. I can feel it go into 3 & 4,...
