First oil change on the new SR200.
Between the rain and lack of free time from spring to now finally got to put enough hours on the new machine for its first oil change. Picked up a filter and some oil and proceeded to change oil, what a pain!
Not that it was difficult or hard to get at the filter or drain plug, removed the side panel and the drain hose for the engine was right there beside the remote mounted oil filter.
Removed the drain plug and the oil ever so slowly drained, it took the better part of 45 min to drain out, I opened the fill cap and even removed the dip stick thinking this would help but no way. All this is even after I ran the machine for a few minute prior to heat up the oil.
There has to be a way to get the oil to drain faster? Has anyone else had any experience with this? If you have any tips for the next time would appreciated.
That been said the machine has moved all kinds of fill and and black dirt for its first 50 hours and love it. Good power when digging into a pile, ride control works good, other than the fact that you need to hold the button contuously for it to be active. The EH controls worked great. I've since adjusted the controls for a faster responce for the bucket and boom but have left the travel as it was.
I recomend this model, it has done things faster and better than I had hoped.
