580 SM Stabilizer Pad Extension

On our 580 Super M we were quickly going through the factory stabilizer pads so we bought a "weld on" version for much less money from Case, exactly like ones we purchased years before for on our old 580D, which lasted great, however the pads did not extend out quite far enough & affected stability somewhat when reaching over the side, so we came up with this version of a modification to try.

First we located an "on the shelf" rubber strip from a local rubber supply company, used for another purpose, with holes already in it & we made up a plate assembly to suit & just welded the plate on. Two 5/8" bolts hold the rubber block in place, using the holes provided in the rubber for location. We are hoping this improves stability.
