I'm new to the forum with zero experience with heavy equipment. My son-in-law is asking me to finance a Catepillar 315L. I believe it is a 1996 model with 3800 hours on it. It has a new paint job with new CAT stickers. None of that means anything as far as the condition. I will appreciate any advice especially about questions to ask and what to look for. We are driving to check it out this weekend. They are asking $34,000.
