Adding wear bars to a worn Hensley bucket on a PC210-10

I have a bucket wearing through the outside layer or steel on the outside that needs to be repaired. Original plan was to replace the outer layer that is worn though and has dirt packed behind it, with 1/4 mild steel. Then run 5" wide 1/2' mild steel flatbar up the sides and then add wear bars across it.
