Hi All,
I have the skid steer running, and have rebuilt the lift arm cylinder that blew out. Now I have another issue , when I raise the lift arms and release the peddle the bucket drops about 6 to 10 inches before it will hold. Also if I have the bucket lowered all the way down and tilt the bucket down to use it like a blade to smooth the work area it mostly just pushes the arms up instead of tilting the whole machine.

I'm working on an 863 F Series machine (S/N 514418434) with foot controls and BICS system. The lift & tilt function has started locking out after 5 minutes of run time. I'm on my second one in a week. The first one not only would spit the battery off trying to bust forklift lugs but it would only work for 5sec blasts. I bought the 2 year extended warranty from Lowes with it and they exchanged it no questions asked. The new one seems to be working okay but I havent pushed it hard yet. Its advertised at 900ftlbs breaking torque and 700ftlbs tightening torque. Time will tell.

Working on a 1900Z with ZF transmission, hydraulics work, When I move electronic shifter I can see pressure on the dash drop then come back up after gear selected. I checked solenoids, they all are 62 Ohms. unplugged, It looks like I have 24v going to three solenoids, I can not find sequence for this to verify correct or not. I did not see any metal when I drained a little from the sump. Looking for any knowledge out there.

I need some help/advice/opinion about a repair I had done to my early 90's Mustang 930A. It had a leak, hydraulic oil coming from the reserve tank (tank behind the seat). The shop I took the machine to repaired it with a fiberglass patch. The couldn't find a replacement tank new or used and it was cracked around the fitting. Is there a scavenge pump not doing its job? Oil just too high? Or is this normal and starter gasket needs replaced?

Ok.....I have the TMD20 motor rebuilt and in the skid steer. I have put in ne fuel filter, fresh fuel, new fuel lines. I pulled the drain plug out of the fuel filter that is on the top/side, got fuel there. Tightened it back up. Cracked line loose before the injection pump, got fuel there. Tightened that back up. Now......I cracked the line loose at the injection pump that runs up to the injector, NO fuel.

I did all this just off of the electric fuel pump.

The only way I have been able to remove them is with a hammer and chisels. It is not easy and takes lots of effort. Does anyone have any tricks or special tools to remove them.

It seems like a job I do every 1 to 2 years so I wouldn't mind investing in some tools to make the job easier.

My Aux electrical hookup on my boom is pictured below. Other pic is from my owners manual. I only have 9 pins total. I was trying to find the Ground wire. With machine off or on. I have no continuity between chassis ground and any of the pins pictured. I do have a ground connection at the metal connector. Today was not the best. I blew the track on my Gehl CTL 85. Was warking on frozen swell and ripped one in half and the other 1/2 way through. I have a 2010 Hitachi zx 160 lc-3 that will run perfect for 45 minutes or so before warning light comes on and all hydralic power is loss. Engine will run fine at high or low RPM's at this time as long as it not under a load. I shut it down and let it sit for a few minutes and back to work it goes for 10 minutes or before doing it again. After sitting over night it works fine agian for 45 minutes to 1 hour or so

I then tried adjusting from the top down ,with machine at full throttle in P set stepper motor arm at 2100 but my low idle is 1500 . I have the adjustable spanner wrench pin type gland wrench. It is the black heavy duty type that takes the 3/4" square drive. It is heavy duty but I dont seem to be able to get much torque in it do to it wanting to jump out of pin holes? It dont lock at the hinge I dont think. Very cumbersome to use. Any suggestions? As heavy and thick as the tool is it seems like it will take way more torque than I can apply

First post here so bare with me. I picked up a Deere 240 series 2 (year unknown) from a guy today that was in a bind for $3500. It has 3000 hours on it and seems to be in good shape. Today we had our 2013 Case TV380 skid steer randomly stop working on a job. The machine suddenly started moving backwards on its own, and I counteracted by pushing the joysticks forward. As soon as I did that, the machine seemed to error out and the STOP light lit up, as well as the hydraulic override light flashing.

I normally find what I'm looking for without posting, but this one's got me stumped.

Background:

Machine is a 2014 T750 with a Tier 4 interim V3800 from Kubota. I bought the machine with 4800 hours on it from a Ritchie Bros. When the machine arrived it had a pretty good rod knock, so we tore the engine down and rebuilt completely. Cylinders were bored .020 over and all OE Kubota parts used.

With the engine reinstalled I'm getting issues...

We recently bought a 550J and were going through it in the shop and found three fittings that wouldn’t take grease. Two were on the ripper and we pulled them and cleaned them out and they are good with no galling. The third though is on the blade for the angle adjustment and it won’t take grease. We tried one of those rejuvenaters with the penetrating oil and hammer, heat, etc. The zerk isn’t plugged it is the pin. It is frozen inside of the heim joint. There is not much room to beat it out...

Finally saved up enough pennies to get some new rails for my 977L, thought i would post some pictures of the Pad removal process. The old pads aren't great but I still can get some life out of them.

What a job to get them off!! so far the best method I've found is to hit them with a plasma cutter then snap the heads off with a breaker bar. The bolts are all 100% seized, if anyone has any tricks to speed up the process I AM ALL EARS.

Hi all. Finally got the old 9u cranking. Installed an electric start after the pony died. She has been sitting for over 10 years and drove her straight up. My problem is the cable blade winch there is a loose eyebolt (well no nut at all..l) I am assuming the this holds the blade up if required. I am heading back next week so will try the eyebolt, just thought there might be something else needed .

In order to reduce our outside costs and streamline our productivity I am considering putting a waratah 624 on a John Deere 959k buncher. We would like to put the buncher head back on when it is needed to cut a unit and then put the processing head back on to process under the yarder. I have been having trouble with the hydraulic system on my loader. It has been slow to lift and dump and makes a squealing noise while raising boom.
I replaced the main pump, changed filters and oil but no change.
I then started to pull the main control valve apart and found 2 springs broken. 1 in a relief valve.
I have looked high and low for a replacement spring but have not had any luck. Part number is 208941H1

Cons? I've been delegated the task of determining who has to use them and what system to use. There are a lot of options and like anything some are junk, some are fair and there's most likely one that's perfect for our operation.

Anyone else having issues getting parts besides me? Dealer told me that there is no 300HP 3306 camshafts in the country and the vendor is late with the shipment. Who is building their cams? Does anyone know how to enable the anti theft system so I can put in a security code? I have the standard display on a 2015 Cat 236D. I was delivered my Cat Skid Steer this week upgrading from a 2000 Scat Trak. I haven't brought it to the job site yet have been driving it around the farm trying to get the feel of it. This valve is pouring oil, not just leaking a little. Please see the pics I have attached, when I disassembled I didn't fine a seal in it. Is there supposed to be a seal in this part or is my problem deeper inside the valve body?

Mine has a small cylinder that pushes the bucket (0nly) sideways. My manual doesn't mention this fetcher and I can't seem to find any info on it.
I need to know what it is called.

Thicker hydraulic oil??

I have an old IH 574. Not a back hoe but I have a question that probably applies to lots of machines.
When first started the steering and hyd lift perform as they should. After about a 15 minute warm up the steering becomes erratic and the lift only works at high engine rpm.
Yes I know it is probably worn out. The question is- is there a thicker hyd oil that will "cure" things for a while longer?

How can you release the parking brake if it is stuck on? The loader will not move and the parking brake light stays on. There is a hose going to the parking brake that it is behind of the tranny drive shaft. Was told brake needs pressure to release it. Can I take the hose of and plug it then put some pressure to the fitting? Also can the problem be at the valve with the coil for the parking brake.

Hi I'm having problems getting my high flow circuit to work on my CAT 287B. Tested solenoids, checked wiring from solenoids to ecm. Checked fuses, power and ground. If someone by chance has a wire schematic and test procedures would greatly appreciate it. It has a ground force tree saw attachment. Serial number is CAT0287BHZSA01405. We are trying to see if there is a way to help our slab loading areas survive. We have waste piles that are stockpiled on slabs and loaded with large loaders with teeth. When I say large I’m talking letourneau 1350’s and bigger. The piles are very wet and often mud so just raising the bucket off the ground isn’t an option either. Smooth buckets isn’t really an option. So we have considered rails but afraid the concrete will crumble away between the rails and a tooth catch a rail. Any ideas?

I need to remove some topsoil/sod so I can build a pad for shop. I have a cat 931B with a backhoe and in hindsight I should have just used the backhoe. I put a smooth cutting edge on the front bucket because I was building jumps out of clay on an MX track and did a bunch of back blading to smooth the take off and landing area's. Trying to dig and level extremely hard and dry ground with a smooth bucket doesn't work too good. I'm sure if I would have still had the teeth on the loader bucket...

My L70 loader is leaking oil from the front crank seal. It's a TD45B. Just wondering if anyone knows how to change it? Not sure if comes out from the front once the crank pulley is off or if if knocks out from behind and you have to take the timing cover off to change it?

Any help would be appreciated as I can't find a workshop manual anywhere.

Is it possible anyone can tell me what I have taken a picture of on my Hitachi EX60URG.
It is located just in front of the air-filter, on the start of the pipe that takes the air to the engine. It has (or in this case:
should have) two cables connected to it. One cable has snapped of a while ago, and the other snapped of when I was
checking how to fix it. It seems not to be possible to connect the cables again, so i probably have to by a new one.

I'm looking to buy a used CAT 953 (or maybe 963).
I really need the 4 in 1 MP bucket so this narrows my choices a lot.
Also, I am farming and do most of my land clearing/maintence in the winter-- so I really need an enclosed cab--- hard to be in an open cab when it's 10 degrees and blowing!

I think I can get the heat by tapping into the engine coolant line going from the engine to the radiator (there are kits for this). But if anyone knows a better way to get heat -- I'm listening--...

I have the adjustable spanner wrench pin type gland wrench. It is the black heavy duty type that takes the 3/4" square drive. It is heavy duty but I dont seem to be able to get much torque in it do to it wanting to jump out of pin holes? It dont lock at the hinge I dont think. Very cumbersome to use. Any suggestions? As heavy and thick as the tool is it seems like it will take way more torque than I can apply

The Light inside the electronic monitor is faulty on my 1997 320 B Cat excavator. Some times it works on start up then goes out , otherwise it never comes on and you can only see any indicators in very good outside light.
All functions appear to otherwise work.
I am wondering if this is a common problem for this machine and if so is it repairable or should I replace the camplete screen with a new one.

I have a 2007 T190 that starts fine but will not move. When started no lights come on the left panel. The middle section with the green operate control button nothing works there at all. Arm bar up or down no light, same with parking brake switch. However the lights button does work and the gauges and hour meter work. And machine will move if you push the yellow traction over ride button. But still no hydraulics work. Anyone have this happen? Need help with this one please.

Hi have a Waldon 5000 and having a problem, runs great works good but when it idles for any time will start to stall out unless you start to use the machine, ie move bucket lift curl what ever then runs fine again till it idles then starts stalling again. I have done all new fluid and correct filter some new hoses. Just can't figure why it does this. Will work fine as long as you are doing some thing. Seems like the pump is building pressure at idle. Im trying to figure out what is the best/safest way to remove the counterweight on a 580k. I was working in the field digging when the main hydraulic hose directly off the pump blew and dumped the entire reserve in about 2 mins. Newb here with a few ?s. Recently purchased a 2011 t190. Put about 60 hours on it and a hydrostatic filter blocked showed up on the active warning. Fired it up a week later and it was gone. The charge pressure was 280ish at idle and 380ish fui throttle. Is that high? Will a dirty filter cause this? Which filter do I change? Seems there is the 1 large at the back and 1 under the cab. I’m flushing all the fluids in my old Hydra Mac and red fluid, assumed to be ATF, drained from my hydraulic reservoir. I was planning to replace it with ISO 46 hydraulic oil but am now concerned with any remaining ATF mixing with the ISO 46.

Should I return the oil and use ATF? Perhaps ATF is better for the machine anyway.

Are the wires removable from the old ones or are they meant to be cut off?

ZF Transmission Problems

I have a Samsung SL150 With a ZF Transmission. Forward doesn't always work, but seems to engage in to reverse always. I haven't had the loader very long but I did alot of forward and reverse unloading bales and loading the belly dump this last fall and it worked great! Now all of a sudden no forward all the time. I know this isn't the most common loader as for as name brand, but the transmission is. So if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated. When I do have forward it shifts good...
