Case 1650

looking to buy a 1650k. Can anyone tell me if I would be better off with a l series. Hydrostatic transmission came on the l as did emissions on the engine. What is it like to run the k series transmission. I don't particularly care for all the electronic controls on the hydrostatic transmission. This dozer will be for mountain work, fire line work. I know everyone thinks cat is the best but I don't really think so. I'm after either
