john deere 87 410B backhoe

Had to rebuild injecotor pump, put back on. Now having to prime fuel system. should the lever on the fuel pump should it have some sort of compression with the system not bleed or will it the lever be real easy to move.. It worked about a month ago when I put a filter on the fuel. Should the fuel come out of the injector lines at the injector pump.. Is there any easy ways to prime system.. Going to pull the cowling off to get to injectors and loosen them to get fuel.
