jeudi 31 août 2017

Hi,
i was wondering if anyone could tell me what weight engine oil and what filter i would use in a 1989 john deere 210c backhoe? Also does the transmission take the same fluid as the hydraulic system?
Thanks, Lee

bucket repair....line boring

Hey folks.

I have a Ford 4500 with a 755 hoe mounted.

The bucket is in poor repair with the pin holes severely wallowed out. I am planning to replace the plate on the back? of the bucket and fabricate new mounts for the pin bushings.

My plan is to start with a piece of plate, probably 1.25in and cut the holes for the pin bushings, cut the shape I need for the whole piece and then weld this piece to the bucket.

My question is could I cut my parts, assemble the whole thing on the dipper...

We run a D11N, D7R, D5G, D65, Steiger 485 HD with two 19 yard pans, two 210 Linkbelts, 110 SD roller, champion grader, 627B and a couple water trucks. Galion T-500 Grade O Matic

I have a Galion T-500 Grade O Matic . I am trying to find out if they used the same transmissions in the Grade O Matic's and what type of transmission is in it. Also need to know what type of fluid I would use? I can drive it in high speed, high range but the slightest hill will slow it down to nothing. Same thing in the high range low speed. Any help on what to look for. I have a Case tractor with the Case O Matic that acts the same way when it's low on fluid

Detroit 2-Cycles in 2017+

Junkyard's post on the winch trucks had me wondering about how much longer these antiques are going to be supported. Well lo and behold I found this:

http://ift.tt/2i0GUub

According to that, they are still building new 53, 71 and 92 series for the military.

What kind of machines are they going into? What level of computerization? What level of emissions?

Are there any ToyotaLift certified techs on here?

I'm new at my dealership. Not much training and no previous lift truck experience, but I'm now a road tech/breakdown tech. Zero support, very little training and very frustrated.

I recently was given my login info to TMHU but that sight is pretty useless. I need training and downloadable manuals. I can't find that info anywhere on that sight.

What am I missing?

1988 Cat 953 - Caterpillar. My First Track Loader

Using my cat 953 track loader, mini excavator, and skid steer to repair a dam.

Cat 953 was recently purchased to move dirt, brush, level off stuff the skid steer struggled with.

So far It has been a great machine. When turning on the dam the rear of the loader is hanging over the lake. The holes being repaired are deep, big and steep. Pretty much straight down 10 to 12 feet. Not much room to work.

Neighbor bought a 1992 Link-Belt 2300D Excavator. Last owner disconnected computer completely and installed mechanical oil pressure gauge and mechanical water temperature gauge for engine. It has not a lot of digging power and will only crawl slowly. He has complete service manual for it and is wondering if he can turn up the hydraulic pressure. Perkins 1104D-E44TA

Hi!

We have a car baler with Perkins engine - it is not earthmoving equipment, so if it is in wrong category, please, just lift it to the right.
The problem is, that when we start pressing of cars, in the beginning, when engine and other things are cold, when hydraulic oil pumps will be "connected" and fully opened, after about three seconds of hard pressing the ECM (Electronic Control Module) decides to reduce of rated power. The smoke coming from exhaust at hard pressing time is quite...

Counterweight Cost

There has been a change in plans, and I have a crane operator wanting to charge extra for adding additional counterweights. Three additional counterweights at about 22,000 pounds each are needed. I can understand the additional mobilization/transportation costs, but I don't know how much these would be for a rental rate? Can anyone help me with this? Even the full cost of counterweights this size would be helpful.

Thanks.

Case 580 decision, SK vs SM

I've been passively shopping for a backhoe for about 8 months now, I have several hundred hours on a JD-310J but for personal ownership I'm leaning heavily in favor of case. I was looking at 2 580s, ones a SK with 7k hours on it, open ROPS, and another is an SM series 2 with 4800 hours on it single owner with closed cab AC and a hydro quick coupler. Both are 4x4, 4-1, and extenda hoe. My main uses are farm/occasional construction work, deforesting/land clearing, and log/lumber moving...

Looking at purchasing a new to me mid size excavator. It's a newer machine, tier 4 final compliant. I'm not a big fan of gadgets and too many sensors, electronics etc., but it is time to upgrade. The emission control system is one of my concerns. Is this something to be concerned about/will involve trips to the dealer? The machine is a JD 60G in case that makes a difference. Would also appreciate feedback on this machine if someone is running one. Thanks.

JD310C - hydraulic pump identification

Any documentation available regarding the type of hydraulic pump in a 310C. Based on my manuals and s/n 753+ I'm able to determine its a Sundstrand Sauer pump with attached steering pump. I wasn't able to gather any additional information in my manuals or the web. I understand more information is stamped on the pump but i was hoping to do research before I have to dismantle...there has to be more info available....any help would be appreciated.

1450B Wont Turn Left

I am looking at purchasing a Case 1450B dozer. The guy is selling it for a reasonable price but he hasn't ran it for 5 years. He quit using it because it stopped turning left. When you pull back on the left lever, the left track stops but the right track seems to lose power also. It will drive perfectly straight forward and backward and it turns right just fine. I have been told the problem could be in the left brake but would like some more advice before pulling the trigger on the...

Why do Demo bids vary in price so much?

Just happened to stumble upon this bid list

The lowest bid came in at half the price of the highest bid, In construction it's rare that bids vary this much, at least in residential, don't know about commercial.
I was talking to Mark Shaurette of purdue a few years back and remember him saying that it's common for demolition bids to come in at widely different prices. Is demolition estimating inherently more difficult?

Solved Cummins starting problem...Hurray

I bought a 94 Ford L9000 dump truck with an M11 and it would start right up but would lose prime and quit after about 30 seconds. Then it had to crank for about 20 seconds to get fuel and be good for the rest of the day but usually needed a boost. I put a Baldwin filter on made especially for Cummins and it didn't solve the problem. Another guy using the truck said he gave it a little throttle after starting and it kept running. Hydraulic fluid type for a Deere 690C, any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Humorously, I recently was looking to trailer my backhoe to my parents cottage and wanted to know the weight. I did a Google search which lead me to a thread here where someone who had just purhased a backhoe identical to mine was looking for the same info. Oddly enough, it WAS ME.... Years ago when I bought it... That made me laugh. (And yes, all the info I...

2001 Genie S60

I have a Genie S60 2001 year model that shakes/shudders when extending the boom. Now here is some details: all wear pads have been replaced or shimmed to tolerance, it does not shudder when boom is raised above horizontal, it does not shudder when retracting at any time no matter the boom position. So is it a hydraulic problem? Is the boom bent/twisted? We use this machine daily and the problem just kind of started one day. I cannot seem to nail it down. Machine is serviced regularaly with...

JLG 450A Telescoping boom hose replacement

Gents,

Long story short: My tenant was in the process of replacing the hoses on the telescoping boom of his 450A when he suddenly passed away last November. I finally had the chance to try and finish the job so I can use the lift and ready it so his wife can sell it, and I'm having a heck of a time snaking the hoses through the boom. Is there any "easy" way or recommended procedure on doing this. I've been trying all day, even trying to pull the old ones through with the backhoe...

Thanks,...

JLG 450 AJ safety question

As I get a little older, I have gotten more cautious. I have often wondered what would happen if a hydraulic line to the main boom, secondary boom or jib were to burst, would the lift just crash to the ground or (as I hope) is there a sufficient back-up system where I don't need to worry about this. The hoses all look good but this question still enters my mind often.

Starting land clearing/mulching business

Hey everyone,
Been a while since I've posted on here. Spent a lot of energy trying to become a dozer operator. My perseverance finally paid off a few years back. I work at a coal mine as a dozer operator at the dragline. Best job I've ever had. Having said that, I'm now looking to start my own land/ mulching business. I only work 15 days a month and really want to start a side business. My only problem is I have no idea how to find work. Say I buy the equipment and then place an ad...

Takeuchi TB135 Installation and checkout of thumb.

samedi 26 août 2017

I have a Takeuchi TB135, 2007 year, Purchased a thumb and have a couple of questions, how do I check and adjust the auxiliary hydraulic pressure? The instructions say to adjust the pressure to 1700 psi, where would I find the adjustment? The machine has a valve on one of the auxiliary lines but only on one side of the boom, the other side is just capped off, should there be a valve on both sides? Any information, help or suggestions greatly appreciated, Patrick

Hitachi EX55UR

Having an issue with my mini excavator. Blew a hydraulic line in the boom. Repaired it and now it seems to be starving for power. The pump seems to be taxed under light operation. The only "normal" function is the left track. That seems to be working as it always did. Everything else seems to be weak. Changed the smaller fluid filter which was quite dirty and the larger looked pretty clean. Any ideas???? Thanks in advance. Scott

Hello,

How do I wire in blue charge wire in truck end.

My dump trailer has a green LED light in it that shows when the hoist battery is being charged from the tow vehicle. Neither my F350 or F550 charge thru the 7 pin flat blade connector. I know the trailer charger works because when I hook up the Chevrolet 1/2 ton the green light glows. The F550 has had the plug added and it does not have the blue hot charge wire at all. Is this simply a extension from the battery/alternator that gets shut off with the truck so it does not continue to pull...

580k master cylinder fluid for brakes

I've got a 580k phase 1 backhoe. Was needing to service the brakes. Wondering what fluid goes in the master cylinder? The master cylinder cap says DOT 3 brake fluid, but then the service chart under the hood says to service them with only TCH fluid. I first thought the cap maybe the wrong lid but it looks factory has 2 wires hooked to it for some reason.

Which RT crane do i buy? SANY or ZOOMLION

I am very familiar with KATO, TADANO and GROVE 25/30t RT's but don't know how these will compare. Pricing is very good at almost 20% less.
Is there anyone with experience on either one or both of these cranes?

When the big yarder maufacturers went broke in the early 1980's, Ross Murray (Ross Equiment) jumped in and built a fine line of yarders, and then starting in 1988 built hydraulic log loaders, delimbers, and processors.
